CALL-ACAMS Newsletter - April 2005
We hope you will enjoy this new format for the newsletter which has been made possible with the help of Lynn Communications Group of Vancouver who also assist us with our web site design.
The Newsletter Committee is hoping that CALL members will be inspired to send contributions to the newsletter as their news happens. You will see that we have four headings:
CALL/ACAMS Affairs
to keep us up to date on the activities of our organization and allow you to determine if you wish to become more involved in any activity;
Motion Briefs
to celebrate the achievements of our membersand to keep track of them;
Legislative/Political Changes
for members to alert us to changes in the legislation, politics, and other government activities of interest;
Case Alerts
for members share with us when to watch for a case of interest, update us on appeals, or discuss other challenges or changes that a case may cause. (This is not intended to be a case summary section as we can get that from other sources but rather for you to share your particular insights about the case and why it is important.)
The vision is that the newsletter will be sent out regularly, depending upon contributions. Should important news arise, we can send an edition out fairly quickly thereafter. The Committee members will edit and organize submissions and arrange for translation. We hope you will include the newsletter when you have news you wish to share, are thinking about a new government commission being set up in your Province, when you are discussing a significant decision you just received, etc. and send a short note to the Newsletter Committee (c/o leannec@worldgate.ca) for publication in the newsletter.
